NEW DELHI, 30 October 2020, (TON):  Saudi Ambassador to India on Thursday, was summoned at Indian Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi to be conveyed displeasure for what India claimed “gross misrepresentation of India’s external territorial boundaries on an official and legal banknote of Saudi Arabia”. India has now come openly against the Saudi policies and is in the forefront against Saudi Royal family and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

In the latest development, Saudi Arabia has released 20-Riyal banknote, to mark Saudi Arabia’s presidency of the G20 grouping, showing world map that reflects Jammu and Kashmir including both Indian and Pakistani administered Jammu and Kashmir as well as held with China to express solidarity with people of Jammu and Kashmir as one unit. It is a great service for the suppressed and deprived people of Jammu and Kashmir, who are waiting for a chance to express their right of self determination on the basis of United Nation Security Council (UNSC) and United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Resolutions.

Meanwhile, India has launched protest with Saudi Arabia that the world map on the new Saudi 20 Riyal banknote does not feature Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as part of India. Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said India has asked Saudi Arabia to take “urgent corrective steps” in the matter, and emphasized that the entire Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of the country. The statement said, “We have seen the banknote referred by you which gives an incorrect depiction of India’s external territorial boundaries. The note was issued by Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority on October 24 to mark the occasion of Saudi presidency of the G20”.
