President Donald Trump has postposed his decision to either go for any military action against Iran or otherwise for two weeks and supported diplomacy by allies that could bring Iran closer to a deal for strict inspections of Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile program. The gap of two weeks is to complete deployments and move a big chunk of western forces from the Middle East, already deployed there.

Today, on 20th June 2025, the ministers from Britain, France and Germany, known as the E3, along with European Union’s foreign policy chief, met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. The talks were much of the warning as Tehran was communicated that Israel would not halt firing missile and would not accept a ceasefire and Iran should agree to negotiations with the E3 immediately.

Interestingly, these European leaders were not free to contact Iran and could only meet their counterpart after seeking consensus from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that Tehran would be persuaded to express readiness to negotiate a new nuclear deal. However, inside story reflected that these Foreign Ministers’ meeting with Iranian counterpart mainly focus over release of their detained citizens.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is also putting her best efforts to persuade Iranian side to re-continue ongoing dialogue aimed at resolving the crisis Earlier, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has taken a bold step by urging powers with influence over Israel to reject 'Netanyahu's game' and calls for ceasefire. He cautioned that war would spark a surge in migration that could harm Europe and the region. He also met Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian who visited Istanbul and discussed Israeli aggression. The other Muslims countries as well as few neutral ones are discussing avenues to resolve this ongoing issue. There are also concerns over Israeli underground nuclear facilities. On coming Monday there is a crucial meeting to take potential stance.
