Indian Nuclear Facility “BARC” Scientist Missing Since Thursday

MYSORE, 11 October 2020, (TON): A 26-year-old scientist working at the Indian Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has gone missing for the past four days from Yelwal in Mysuru. India is concerned about its nuclear security and safety procedures.  

Gulla Abhiseka Reddy, a resident of Cauvery Layout, New Janata Colony, Yelawala, Mysuru, working as an Assistant Scientific Officer (ASO) is missing since Thursday. He was a native of Madanapalle in Andhra Pradesh.  The Administrative Officer-3 of BARC, Mysuru, T K Bose had lodged a complaint with Yelwal police on Thursday about missing BARC employee.

It is too early to conclude his whereabouts or reasons of missing, however, the employees of the facility complaint about the harassment and mental torture by the superior as well as poor health facilities. Witnesses known to Gulla Abhiseka Reddy said that they cannot divulge any information as it is forbidden.
