DHAKA, 14 July 2026 (TON): A report released by the Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity revealed that 532 road accidents claimed 463 lives and injured 1,323 people across Bangladesh in June.
The report also recorded 53 railway accidents that killed 45 people and five waterway accidents that resulted in five deaths. Motorcycle crashes accounted for a significant share of road fatalities during the month.
Road safety remains a major concern in Bangladesh, with authorities continuing efforts to improve traffic enforcement, road infrastructure, and public awareness to reduce future accidents.
