DHAKA, 15 July 2026 (TON): The French Embassy in Dhaka celebrated Bastille Day on Tuesday with a reception highlighting the growing diplomatic and strategic partnership between France and Bangladesh.
French Ambassador Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet said France is committed to strengthening cooperation with Bangladesh across multiple sectors and is prepared to build a long-term partnership. He also reaffirmed France’s vision of the Indo-Pacific as a region of free passage, peace, and international cooperation.
Bangladesh's Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood attended the event as the chief guest, reflecting the continued engagement between the two countries.
