DAKHA, 11 August 2026 (TON): Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi met Bangladeshi PM Tarique as Bangladesh to pressurize India to bar Sheikh Hasina from participating in election campaign. As per the sources it is as eyewash where the IHC was requested for an extradition whereas it was Indian and Bangladeshi which kidnapped Sheikh Hasina from Bangladesh and house arrested in India.
Request for an extradition of former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina is claimed on account of recent press conference which sparked public raising against Bangladeshi present leadership.
Dakha is stressing as if diplomatic tensions between Bangladesh and India emerged, with Dhaka pressing New Delhi to expedite her extradition. According to Bangladesh’s Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting covered a range of bilateral issues, including Hasina’s extradition and the return of suspects wanted in the murder of student leader Shahid Osman Hadi.
