BEIJING , 22 July 2026 (TON): On Wednesday China’s People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy hospital ship Auspicious Ark departed from Qingdao in Shandong Province to begin a humanitarian medical mission across Africa and South Asia.
The Mission Harmony-2026 operation, the 12th edition of the programme since 2010, will continue for more than 200 days. During the mission, the ship will visit several countries to provide free medical treatment and healthcare services to local communities.
The crew will also take part in cultural exchange activities with the host countries to strengthen friendship and cooperation.
