NEW DELHI, 16 July 2026 (TON): India and Belgium held their first Strategic Dialogue on Wednesday in Brussels, reviewing cooperation across key sectors including trade, defence, semiconductors, technology, and supply chains.

According to India's Ministry of External Affairs, both countries agreed to deepen cooperation in trade and investment, green energy, innovation, connectivity, security, regional affairs, and people-to-people exchanges. The dialogue reflects growing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.

The meeting was attended by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, Minister of State Jitin Prasada, Belgian Minister-President of Flanders Matthias Diependaele, and Minister-President of Wallonia Adrien Dolimont.
