NEW DELHI, 23 July 2026 (TON): Indian Army along with other security forces have launched a massive anti-Kashmiris operations at various locations in South Kashmir including Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam.

As per the reports the security forces on the suspicion of presence of outlaws in the area launched combing and search operation in Anantnag. In a friendly fire a Police personnel was killed in Anantnag  shootout.

As per the details, Head Constable Ashiq Hussain of the IRP 3rd Battalion, who was posted on Amarnath Yatra security duty, was critically injured after being shot is the friendly fire and was rushed to the Government Medical College hospital in Anantnag but he could not scum to injuries.

Security forces launched a massive anti-Kashmiri crackdown across Jammu and Kashmir to ensure Amarnath Yatra security duties are not hindered. In Shopian too, police carried out an extensive security and counter-terrorism operation across the district to prevent any attempt to disturb peace and maintain a robust security environment. In these operations two Kashmiri Muslims were martyred and 147 have been arrested or their whereabouts are not known.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the intensified cordon and search operations in the territory. In a statement, the APHC spokesman said India is subjecting Kashmiris to brutal repression for demanding their internationally recognized right to self-determination. He urged the United Nations and the international community to take serious notice of Indian atrocities in the occupied territory and resolve the dispute in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.
