NEW DELHI, June 20, 2026 (TON): Supporters of India’s popular Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) staged a protest near Parliament on Saturday, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Pradhan has faced criticism over repeated exam paper leaks and alleged irregularities in major national examinations. During the demonstration, protesters banged steel plates to express their frustration with what they described as a corrupt and ineffective examination system.
The protest was triggered by the leak of a national medical entrance examination paper, which was reportedly circulated on Telegram. The incident prompted authorities to temporarily ban the platform and reschedule the examination.Protesters argued that the government should focus on addressing the root causes of exam leaks and corruption rather than restricting online platforms.
