US Clears $428 Million Support Package for India'

NEW DELHI June 23, 2026 (TON): The US Department of State announced the approval of a USD 428 million support package for India's Apache attack helicopters and M777 ultra-light howitzers. The support is intended to help India maintain operational readiness and strengthen its defense capabilities.

The proposal includes USD 198.2 million for Apache helicopter support services and USD 230 million for the sustainment of M777 howitzers. The package covers maintenance, logistics, training, repairs, and technical assistance for equipment currently in service with the Indian Armed Forces.
