In the latest development, US President Donald Trump orders extensive arms supplies and funding to allies including a neighbor fighting against Afghan Taliban in Afghanistan.
Last week New Delhi also confirmed that Indian military along with US troops based in Balochistan carried out coordinated attacks on Afghan targets. Trained militants have been pushed in to create law and order situation in which Iranian backed Quetta Shura is most active.
Presence of foreign troops in Mazar-i-Sharif, Zabul and other parts of Afghanistan has been reported. Reports confirmed bases in Tajikistan, Iran and neighbourhood including Pakistan- Afghanistan border are used since long to eliminate Taliban and its supporters.
The US authorities including White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt were tight lipped and did not confirm anything regarding Afghanistan. In an unpublished, and unofficial statement US authorities were quoted to have said, “President Trump has ensured to stand by India, Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to hunt Afghan terrorists and their supporters. US will cooperate with Tehran in airlifting anti-Taliban groups settled in Iran and abroad to give a final blow to Taliban terrorist regime,” It was added, “Saudi Arabian and other gulf countries has been engaged against Houthis and attacks by Naval ships in Bab el-Mandeb and foreign bases on their facilities so they would not be able to assist Taliban.”
If we recall, two days back Pakistan’s Director General Inter Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said in a Press Briefing, “We are explaining the same since last 5 year to everyone that Taliban regime’s DNA matches with the Indians. They have same thinking as one kill Muslim other kills Muslim and sabotages their religion. They resemblance is like Muslim but do they have anything that is in Muslims". Quoting Surah Al Imran Verse Number 28, he said that Taliban not only make Kaffirs as their friends but they have common DNAs of Kaffirs. He also claimed that Indians are Taliban’s “fathers and Masters”.
The only solution to the Afghan problem is allowing the people of Afghanistan to decide their destiny. Let the Afghan majority to rule Afghanistan and there should be no foreign interference. The latest massacre of Pushtuns in Afghanistan in the name of Taliban and Al Qaida must stop and UNO and Human Rights organizations must intervene to stop genocide of Afghans at the hands of foreign forces and their funded mercenaries.
