UK Bans Iran-Linked Groups Following Attacks on Jewish Sites

LONDON, 14 July 2026 (TON): The United Kingdom has banned Iran-linked groups, including the Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right (IMCR) and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), following a series of attacks targeting Jewish sites.

British authorities said the banned group claimed responsibility for several arson and vandalism incidents involving synagogues, Jewish charity vehicles, and a Persian-language media organization critical of Iran.

Officials said the move is intended to strengthen national security and combat extremist activities. No injuries were reported in the attacks.
