CAIRO, 07 August 2026 (TON): Hamas agrees to disarm says now it is time for Israel to halts strikes and withdraws from Gaza.
As per the details Hamas has almost completed its disarming as part of a deal announced by the Western nations including US President Donald Trump and now stressing on Israel to end its strikes and withdraw from Gaza but it seems implementation is the major challenge.
Hamas also said that that it's leadership has agreed to this difficult question of laying arms because the process would ensure creation of a Palestinian state.
Progress could not be implemented as Israel of violating the agreement by continuing to carry out regular strikes on Gaza as well as reluctance to withdraw from Gaza.
Israel, meanwhile, appears unlikely to pull back her forces or make other concessions ahead of its October elections. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces a tough reelection battle, with opponents accusing him of failing to prevent the 7 October 2023, attack that triggered the war.
