Secret understandings and consultations are in full swing where billions of dollars are being poured in to pave way for blanket acceptance of Israel as major power in Asia, especially political in expression the Middle East. Muslim nations are uncertain in the present scenario, where each one look towards other with suspicion if the leadership is in hand and glove with international conspiracy to do away with Palestine. In a positive development some of Muslim nations including Palestinian government in exile in Eastern Europe have agreed in principle not to move forward with bilateral or multilateral agreements or Memorandum of Understandings or development plans involving Israel as partner unless Tel Aviv gives guarantee of not resisting Palestinian independence.
If we recall, in its resolution 3376, the UN General Assembly in 1975, established the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP), and requested it to recommend a programme of implementation to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable rights to self-determination for national independence and sovereignty; and to return to their homes and property from which they had been displaced. The timeline is all set where Israel is required to dismantle its occupation of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank including East Jerusalem by 13 September 2025.
This Committee is all set to inform the report to be presented to the General Assembly in October 2025 for the 80th Session (UNGA80).
Co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, at the United Nations Security Council recognition of Palestine state was top agenda and one of the goals of the conference scheduled from 17 - 20 June 2025 but as well chalked out plan the conference has been postponed with a note, “it would be held as soon as possible". The delay is due to Israeli attack on Iran and Iranian reciprocal attacks. There should be no doubt that the Palestine state comprises of territories of Golan Heights, and the West and East Banks, Gaza at the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea including Jerusalem and Muslims are not ready to compromise, as world peace and their own existence will be on stake.
In a recent development, on 21 July 2025, Foreign Ministers of United Kingdom along with Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland announced a political pathway to security and peace for Israelis, Palestinians and the entire region. They expressed their full support to support to the efforts of the US, Qatar and Egypt to hammer last nail on the coffin of Palestine.
These countries in a joint statement said, “The hostages cruelly held captive by Hamas since 7 October 2023 continue to suffer terribly. We condemn their continued detention and call for their immediate and unconditional release. A negotiated ceasefire offers the best hope of bringing them home and ending the agony of their families. We call on the Israeli government to immediately lift restrictions on the flow of aid and to urgently enable the UN and humanitarian NGOs to do their life saving work safely and effectively.”
Interestingly, when a journalist questioned President Trump about his discussion about Iran during his meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff in June 2025, President Trump replied, “They (Pakistan) know Iran very well, better than most, and they are not happy about anything. They said that they will bear with Israel, they know a lot actually but probably they know Iran better but as she was going on, he agreed with me.” The statement clearly speaks of compromised leadership and institutions as well as warning what is coming next. Under such circumstances, the Muslim nations should be careful about hypocrites within files, and no one should be allowed solo or one to one meeting with any foreign official or dignitaries. To illegitimate secret agreements, Muslim nations need to pass law that nothing would be legitimate unless made public to take them in confidence and subsequently approved by chosen representative of state authority.
It would be unfair to doubt all the Muslim leaders and allies, especially Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc but we must keep our eyes open and support each other in not letting other nations blackmailed and compromised. Each Muslim nation and supporting allies must earmark armed personnel; equipment and accessories for joint training as a “Peace Force” to be deployed to implement UN Resolutions under the UNO’s umbrella. Turkey and Saudi Arabia need to play the lead role in unifying Muslims and allies, preventing parallel negotiators like Qatar, UAE and Egypt that bring disunity. It is high time to move forward to bring not only regional peace but also international peace by legitimately resolving pending issues on merit including right of self-determination and sovereignty of Palestine and Kashmir as well as question of acceptance of Israel as exclusive State for Jews with guarantee of enforcement of Law of Moses (Musa Alhe Salam).
