DHAKA, 06 June 2022, (TON): The 10th edition of the joint military drill between India and Bangladesh begun in Jashore as several platoons of the Indian Army reached Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Inter-Services Public Relations did not issue any release on the joint drill but confirmed the event.
The Indian High Commission posted a photo on their social media and said that their army contingent arrived in Bangladesh to participate in the 10th edition of India-Bangladesh Joint Military Exercise in Jashore between June 5 and 16.
It said “the exercise focused on counter-terrorism and disaster relief operations.”
The Indian Ministry of Defence on their website in a press release said “Exercise Sampriti is an important bilateral defence cooperation endeavour conducted alternately by both countries which aims to strengthen and widen the aspects of interoperability and cooperation between both the armies.”
