Unlocking of Major Tourists Spot Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh

COX BAZAR, 06 September 2020, TON (By Yeasin Arfat): Bangladesh has unlocked some of the major tourist spots like Cox's Bazar Sea-beach after withdrawing 5 months lengthy lockdown.

Cox's Bazar is one of the longest sea-beach in the world. Undoubtedly this place is favorable to everyone. It is called the tourist capital of Bangladesh. People from all over the world can come and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Cox's Bazar.

Most of the countries of the world are confronting a dangerous coronavirus situation. Bangladesh is not out of those countries. Bangladesh has detected the first case of COVID-19 on 8 March 2020. To control this circumstance, Bangladesh has unofficially declared lockdown the whole country.

In this time, after five months of lengthy lockdown, Bangladesh has opened a vital tourist spot Cox's Bazar sea-beach, including some conditions about health safety on 17 August 2020. The primary requirement is to ensure hygiene for everyone. Kamal Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Cox's Bazar district, says almost dozens of conditions to ensure hygiene. He also says, Executive Magistrate of the tourist's cell will ambulate the Hotel-Motel zone and sea-beach area. The District administration has worked to ensure hygiene.

But tourists are not coming like the previous days what stands very disappointing for the businessmen of Cox's Bazar. According to the Organizing Secretary of Cox's Bazar Hotel-Motel Officers Association, Cox's Bazar is opened for travel lovers, but they fear COVID-19. Some travelers have been coming with their families, which is very inconsiderable. So, it is very tough to reconcile the daily cost of the Hotel-Motel.

Even though the local government took proper steps to ensure hygiene for tourists, the tourists have been coming much less than expectations. According to Cox's Bazar Chamber of Commerce, about BDT 10,000 crores losses in this lockdown time. Now, Cox's Bazar is awaiting for tourists. Tourists Police of Cox's Bazar is always ready to confirm the social distance and hygiene among travelers.
