KATMANDU, 12 November 2020, (TON): Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla is schedule to visit Nepal this month, possibly 26-27 November 2020, to take stock of serious dispute between the two countries over number of issues. forward bilateral ties that were rocked by a border row earlier this year, people familiar with developments said on condition of anonymity on Wednesday.

The visit of Indian Army chief, General MM Naravane was not very successful as Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said on 6 November 2020 that the two countries could resolve all problems through dialogue and not military to military contacts. The major irritant between the two countries include control of Gorkhas serving in Indian Army, disputes over boundaries including mountain ranges, water dispute and the fact that birth of Ram took place in Nepal rather that India.

Nepal, relations with Pakistan is gradually improving and India is trying its level best to keep Nepal away from Pakistan, in an isolation so that Nepal and Pakistan may not jointly work for the protection of Nepali rights against Indian hegemonic designs.
