SRINAGAR, 7 April, 2021 (TON): On Wednesday, the Kashmir police chief, Vijay Kumar notified the media personnel not to carry any live coverage of encounters and Law and Order situation.
He asked them not to interfere in professional and bona-fide duty of police and security forces at encounter sites.
“The freedom of speech and expression is subject to reasonable restrictions that should not violate other people’s right to life guaranteed under Article 21 or putting the national security in jeopardy,” he said.
He clearly stated no operational content should be carried which is likely to incite violence or contains anything against maintenance of L&O or which promotes anti-national sentiment.
