KABUL, 08 February 2022, (TON): A Taliban official said “at least 19 people were killed by an avalanche while crossing a remote mountain pass from Afghanistan to Pakistan.”

Scores of Afghans cross illegally to Pakistan every day through the porous mountain border in search of jobs or to buy essential goods for trade.

The French leader has indicated that he is going to “discuss terms of a de-escalation” of the crisis.

Over the weekend, Macron also held talks with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg plus the leaders of Baltic nations.
