All lies and baseless stories of alarming situation and uncontrolable death in India faded with a single Inside Story by The Orient News, “Is India terrorizing the world? Fake exaggerated COVID death-toll exposed” published on 12 May 2021. Where are the dead-bodies, who carried them from hospitals and burnt or buried them. India has no answer but media reports, “The Muslims did the job and cremated Hindu’s dead bodies, each day in hundreds in various cities”.
All these weeks and months, Indian authorities kept quiet and now Indian Union Health Ministry is quick to issue rebuttals about deadly "Indian variant" of Coronavirus. Indian Union Health Ministry on 12 May 2021, clarified that WHO has not used the word "Indian" for B.1.617 mutant of the novel coronavirus , hence cannot be termed as "Indian Variant". The ministry dismissed as "without any basis and unfounded" media reports that have used the term "Indian variant" for the B.1.617 mutant strain. The statement said, "Several media reports have covered the news of World Health Organisation (WHO) classifying B.1.617 as variant of global concern. Some of these reports have termed the B.1.617 variant of the coronavirus as an 'Indian Variant'." He added, "These media reports are without any basis, and unfounded."
Al Jazeera quoting French Health Minister Olivier Veran reported on 10 May 2021, “the coronavirus variant first detected in India appears to be on the rise in France, which has now recorded at least 20 cases. It said, Olivier Veran told French news channel LCI that people affected had been identified in five small clusters. Veran’s comments came as concerns grow over the strain as B.1.617 is linked to a devastating wave of infections in India. It has since spread outwards to about 20 other countries, including several European nations, prompting fresh travel restrictions with India.”
The paper quoting Reuters news agency reported, “BBC said scientists in the United Kingdom have flagged evidence that the Indian variant of the virus spreads more quickly than its original version. It said, scientists have recommended that one version of the variant first found in India, known as B.1.617.2, is designated a “variant of concern”, adding more than 500 cases of the variant had been recorded, up from 202 last week.”
Al Jazeera reported, “WHO says the variant has already spread to more than a dozen countries, forcing nations to cut or restrict movements from India.” It reported, prominent US disease modeller Chris Murray, from the University of Washington, said the sheer magnitude of infections in India in a short period of time suggests an “escape variant” may be overpowering any prior immunity from natural infections. Infections are now spreading from overcrowded cities to remote rural villages that are home to nearly 70 percent of the 1.3 billion population.
Media reported that India’s healthcare system is crumbling under the weight of patients, with hospitals running out of beds and medical oxygen. Morgues and crematoriums cannot handle the number of dead and makeshift funeral pyres burn in parks and car parks. However, on ground it is not true. There are deaths indeed as these used to occur since last many years. This time the same deaths which were recorded to have taken place due to different diseases are categorize under “Death due to COVID-19”. It is high time that the World Heath Organization, United Nations Organizations and medical and health organization probe the hospital record of dead, to find out the truth and save the world community from fears and apprehensions that they are about to die due to COVID.
