Doha is being considered as center of negotiations, which would ultimately lead to the Afghan solution but it is not. Solution is either in Kandahar or probably a fortnight after complete foreign withdrawal. The main Taliban suffered assassination attempts, drone attacks and target killings during the period post US-Doha Taliban splinter group agreement and further negotiation, which made them little conscious as anything may be happen. They have already announced complete amnesty, observance of international law and fulfillment of obligation as important member of world community.

Interesting development include that Indian-Iranian sponsored Abbas Muhammad Stanikzai, who has many course mates at Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun is in his contact met with New Delhi, Tehran as well as US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Earlier Taliban deputy leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar also discussed the start of the intra-Afghan talks and the ongoing situation in Afghanistan. Abbass Stanikzai has indirectly issued a statement calling the world community for help as Taliban are ready to accept humatarian aid from all countries including New Delhi. Stanikzai also met German Ambassador to Afghanistan Marx Putzel and assured that the leadership would open Kabul Airport as well as both routes Chabahar as well as Torkham-Wagah to facilitate India. US and western nations are favouring Iran-backed Hizb-e-Wadahat to be accommodated in broad based government in Afghanistan.

Suhail Shaheen, the spokesman for the Taliban's at Doha said in a statement that they want to maintain good relations with all the countries of the world including India. The leadership is waiting for the release of all prisoner that would be followed by intra-Afghan negotiations, probably during next week. Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao Speaks also held talks with Taliban leadership and was satisfied with the outcome. Islamabad is also being kept in the loop by sprinter groups of Taliban and anti Taliban but with no concrete results.

Meanwhile, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada expressed uncertainty on reaching any consensus as per the western nation’s dictates. He said that it is to early to highlight how political situation would be unfolded as broad based government is not finalized. He ruled out Mullah Yaqoob Omari to take the appointment as Emir. The fact cannot be denied that Haibatullah Akhundzada, Mullah Mohammad Yaqub and Sirajuddin Haqqani do not have much faith in the symbolic intra-Afghan talks. They are more interested in the complete withdrawal, which would be followed by the formulation of Afghan government after consultation. The situation is fragile and hope is there for a very early solution on the condition that there is complete seizure of foreign interference. It is high time to allow the Afghans to decide how they want to live and rule Afghanistan as an important member of international community.
