RIYADH, 17 SEPTEMBER 2025, (TON): Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed mutual strategic defense pact to further strengthen already existing Defence Pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which both countries enjoys since Pakistan’s independence in August 1947.
The agreement was signed by the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh. The agreement states that any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both.
The agreement will help further strengthen the bilateral historic partnership extending for nearly eight decades, and based on bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity, as well as shared strategic interests and close defense cooperation.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed ways to enhance the strategic partnership through joint operational training, exercises and deployments. Other brotherly countries are also likely to follow.
