BERLIN, 26 September 2020, (TON): Long awaited reopening of mosque in Germany. It is common practice to call for prayers from mosques through Azan on loudspeakers but in the last few years, sectarian mindsets have spoken out against it. Something similar happened 5 years ago in a German city.

Local residents lodged a complaint in 2015 against the relevant permit, which allowed the Muslim community to use the loudspeaker for at most 15 minutes between noon and 2pm on a Friday. The Muenster court's decision in this regard has finally been given.

A German court on 23 September 2020 rejected a petition seeking a stay on the sound of Azan after a five-year hearing. presiding judge Annette Kleinschnittger said, “Every society must accept that one will sometimes be aware that others exercise their faith.”

It should be noted that the wedding ceremony held at a distance of 900 metres from the mosque in 2015 was said to have disrupted by the Azan.
