Both the countries have always been trusted-partners with historical linkages dating back to the period of Gandhara civilization, from the first to seventh-century AD. Pakistani Prime Minister pays a visit to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who also tried to give the podium to Mr. Khan in Sri Lanka for the address, but due to some internal rift, opposition party-Lankan President drops the idea. Sri Lankan President also shows the concerns over the Muslim minority issue, which were affected in the COVID lockdown days.
