SIRAHA, 15 March, 2021 (TON): On Sunday, at least eight individuals injured in a pressure cooker bomb exploded at the government’s office.

The incident took place in Siraha district’s Lahan in Southeast Nepal.

In the Land and Revenue Office, on the first floor the bomb exploded, Assistant Chief District Officer Krishna Kumar Niraula said.

Eight employees - five men and three women - of the land revenue department were injured in the blast.

DSP Tapan Dahal said, "Three of the critically injured are undergoing treatment at Saptarishi Hospital, Lahan while the others are admitted at Lahan Hospital."

The Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Revolutionary), an armed outfit led by Jaya Krishna Goit, claimed responsibility for the blast, saying it was part of the outfit's "campaign against corruption."

Hours late the bomb blast, it said, “We detonated a pressure cooker bomb at 12:47 p.m. as an action against corruption."

Earlier, police recovered pamphlets published by the outfit from the site of the blast. Several pieces of pamphlets were found in such a condition that it is hard to read what is written on them, according to police.

However, the police is probing the case.

GABES, 15 March, 2021 (TON): On Saturday, at least six people died and one injured in an explosion of an asphalt tank in an industrial zone in Gabès, in south-eastern Tunisia.

The explosion occurred at 9:30 am local (08:30 GMT).

Moez Triaa, the spokesperson for civil protection said, "We made in a first preliminary assessment six dead and one wounded."

Four people died on the spot and the other two after being transported to a hospital in Gabès.

Triaa did not give any further details and said, search operations to find other possible victims are still ongoing.

However, the cause of the not-so-small explosion remained unclear and revealed that a huge black smoke covered part of the industrial zone of Gabès.

ANKARA, 15 March, 2021 (TON): On Monday, Turkey’s Defense ministry and monitoring group confirmed that the missile attack in Turkish-controlled northern Syria wounded several civilians.

From the Kuweires airbase in Aleppo, the ballistic missiles were fired that struck Al-Bab and Jarablus towns in the north of the war-torn country.

The ministry said in a tweet, “The strike targeted civilian settlements and fuel tankers, civilians were wounded."
