TEHRAN, 15 March, 2021 (TON): Iran announced to appoint a special reporter or representative to assess the impact of U.S. and Europe’s sanctions on Iran, says a senior official on Sunday.
Ali Baqeri Kani, the head of the Iranian Judiciary's High Council for Human Rights said, "We have decided to appoint a special reporter to assess the impact of unjust sanctions imposed by the US and Europe on the Iranian nation."
"The reporter will also take steps to form a global front against violation of human rights of independent nations as a result of unjust sanctions by the US and other western countries," he said.
As per the information, the reporter will have to submit the assessment to judicial and human rights authorities at the international, regional, and national levels.
As sanctions were imposed on Iran for not complying with JCPOA conditions, it got sanctioned by the countries.
Considering this, the official clearly highlighted that Iran will support the victims of such unjust sanctions in various regional and human rights forums.
