Egyptian FM Shoukry travelled to Doha to communicate President’s message to Al-Thani

CAIRO, 15 June, 2021 (TON): On Monday, the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Doha to convey a message from the President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The message incorporates the positive developments in Egyptian-Qatari relations following the signing of the “Al-Ula reconciliation agreement” on 5 January.

It also expressed Egypt’s aspiration to take further measures to advance the priority areas of bilateral cooperation in achieving the interests of the two countries and the people.

According to the Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez’s statement, Shoukry will take part in the consultative meeting of the Arab foreign ministers held at Qatar’s invitation.

The aim of the meeting is to continue coordination and consultation on present situation of the region, ways to tackle the growing challenges faced by the countries in Arab.
