The major irritant between the two countries include control of Gorkhas serving in Indian Army, disputes over boundaries including mountain ranges, water dispute and the fact that birth of Ram took place in Nepal rather that India.

Nepal, relations with Pakistan is gradually improving and India is trying its level best to keep Nepal away from Pakistan, in an isolation so that Nepal and Pakistan may not jointly work for the protection of Nepali rights against Indian hegemonic designs.
